Pressed Paradise is a group of emotionally, socially charged artists who feel distressed by their current environment. A group who is employing their privilege to create art in non-traditional spaces, asking questions about where we are and what it means to be here. Pressed Paradise includes Arash Khakpour, Kelly McInnes & Heather Lamoureux and often also includes guest artists. The group formed in 2015 and has presented many outdoor guerrilla performances throughout so-called Vancouver exploring themes such as immigration, colonialism, sexism, environmental pollution and consumerism. Pressed Paradise's performances are durational, experiential rituals that interrogate the performers, public spaces and witnesses that they engage.
